Upon registration for gr8Fone Services, members are required to provide their full name, street address, e-mail address and password. This information is used to manage the access to sensitive member-specific information such as account balance, member profile, and eligibility for certain services and benefits provided by gr8Fone and its affiliates. Members' correct full name and postal address are required for payment processing. Email address is required to provide value-added services. gr8Fone will not distribute user information to third-party companies without members' explicit permission.
Cookies
Cookies are text files written on a user's computer that gr8Fone uses to customize services for its users. As per our Terms of Service, upon registration, all users grant to gr8Fone their explicit permission to create and manage cookies to personally identify members and render its services. The users have the option to decline cookies by changing the security setting of their browser, by deleting cookie files, and by terminating their gr8Fone account. Children and Privacy
Our website is not intended for children under the age of eighteen. To register to gr8Fone Services, users must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Security
gr8Fone has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We use industry standard procedures and processes, such as SSL encryption technology, firewall, proxies, and frequent monitoring to prevent abuse of our network and its data. Access to user's data is limited to Database Administrators and Customer Service Representatives only. There are several measures implemented to control access to the data, based on login passwords, NT and UNIX file access permissions, and IP address permissions.
For safety, we recommend that users protect their account passwords, log out, and close their browsers when away from their computers.
If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on our homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point, we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will post a notice to that effect on our website. Users will be asked whether or not we can use their information in a different manner. We will use information in accordance with our current privacy policy.
Anti-Spam Policy
gr8Fone will immediately terminate any account which it believes, in its
sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any SPAM
or other unsolicited bulk e-mails, postings or phone calls.
gr8Fone will pursue severe legal action against
members who are involved in SPAM that tampers with the integrity of its
business. These actions start with asking local Internet service providers
to deny future service to user, and continue by contacting user's employer
and/or university, local law-enforcement authorities or National Bureaus
for further severe legal sanctions.
SPAM includes, but is not limited to, unsolicited
phone calls, emails and/or postings in discussion groups, bulletin boards,
and other public domain groups. SPAM messages are generally prohibited by
most network providers and certain jurisdictions and those users employing
them may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment. gr8Fone does not allow
its members to utilize the network to transmit SPAM messages. The company
will automatically terminate all spamming accounts.
